Work Party Rescheduled for Feb 24th

All systems are go for Sunday’s work party. If you have questions, ask them now. Road conditions have been much better in CR than in PDX. It will be up to individuals to make their own decisions on Sunday morning. Don’t do it if there’s a safety issue. We will make things work with the people we have.

WHERE AND WHEN - If you know how to get to the blue gate, meet there at 8:45 or a little before. Please carpool. Also, you will probably need to park on the hill or at the bottom of the hill before the gate since there won’t be room for everyone. If you don’t know how to get to the blue gate, I will have Preston swing by the gravel lot near Four Corners at 8:20 and lead you in. If you don’t know how to get to the gravel lot, contact me ASAP for directions.

WEATHER - It’s going to be chilly, so prepare yourself. Looks like a high of 38 and a low of 23. If it remains dry, we should be good. My suggestion is to bring your biggest pack and make sure it has plenty of extra clothing. I will probably ride up with a stocking hat. Think about glove liners, hand warmers, a heavier coat, multiple pairs of gloves, JD, ski mask, etc.

TOOLS - Bring a handsaw or loppers and a rake, Brookski, Rogue hoe, or McLeod. We will see what we can fit on the bobs. Thomas Fischer and Darrell Jamieson are pulling bobs for the DH crew. All other bobs will be going to the same spot so you can put your stuff on any of them. BE SURE TO MARK YOUR TOOLS.

GETTING THERE - If you were involved with our other Outer Limits builds you know the situation. We will be riding in four miles from the blue gate. Crews 1, 2, 3, and 4 will all be riding up the 313 hill, taking a left at the Legacy tank trap, continuing past the 206 (Don’t take this; continue on the 300) to the 319. It is on the right. Crews 1 and 3 will ride out to the end of the road. Crews 2 and 4 will go in about .4.

AFTER-PARTY - We will be at the Pastime in Castle Rock at 127 Front St. NW. After you head across the bridge into town, take a left one street before you reach the three-way stop. It’s on the left two blocks to the north. If possible, please stop by for food and a beverage.
