If you have questions about the FHOP course or anything else pertaining to the event, now is the time to ask. You can view the route at the bottom of this post.
Here are a few things that you need to know.
*You can park at my house, at the top of Growlers Gulch Road, or along the 312 between the top of the Power Line Hill and the intersection.
*All riders start at the top of Growlers Gulch Road at 9:20. We do this so that the fast, serious people have a chance to gap the rest of us before they hit the entrance to the FHOP route.
*Unless you are in the very top group, people are going to pass you. When someone is gaining on you, this means they are riding faster than you are. It also means you need to get out of their way, even if you have to get off your bike.
*Tony McCoy will be counting laps at the entrance to Predator. Each time you come by you need to clearly announce your name. He will not be able to recognize a good share of the participants so it’s on you to make sure he knows who you are.
*You have until 1:30 to COMPLETE your laps. Laps completed after 1:30 will not be counted.
*The lap is approximately 5 miles long. If you want to stage fluid, food, or clothes, the best place will be at the start of Predator where Tony will be stationed.
*You know those races where participants are so serious that they throw their food wrappers and cups on the ground? This isn’t one of those events.
*What are the chances of the event being rescheduled if we get bad weather? ZERO. Unless you are sick, dead, or incarcerated, we expect to see your ass at the start-line.
*The after-party is at Porky’s in Longview. Kids are welcome. We would like you to stop by for food, beverages, and conversation. We don’t have much chance to socialize during the event, so it’s important to get together afterwards.

*Hard left onto Terminator, which is ridden counter-clockwise
*Cross the road and ride up Beauty
*Bear left at the top of Beauty onto Shooter
*Hard right followed by another hard right to get to the start of BAP
*BAP (This section is the deal-breaker)
*Exit BAP and ride Walk in the Park
*Mr. T back to the start-point
