Are you aware that Growlers has a loaner fleet that features some excellent bikes? If you are trying to get family members or friends interested in mountain biking but they don’t have bikes, this is a great opportunity. Also, if your bike is in the shop and you really don’t want to miss out on a ride, we might be able to help.
The only requirement is that you be a member in good standing of GGR. How do you know if you are? Well, have you paid your dues?
We have arranged long-term loans with a number of kids. Two stipulations: (1) the bike must be ridden regularly; (2) it should have a tune-up before it’s returned.
Specialized Safire - This is a sweet bike. Full-suspension. Fox RL front fork. Fox Triad in back. Avid Elixir brakes. SRAM drive train. Medium.
Kona Cindercone - Hardtail. Marzocchi Bomber fork. Avid brakes. Shimano XT drive train. Small.
Giant XTC Alliance - Super light carbon hardtail. Rox Shox Recon fork. Avid brakes. SRAM7 drive train. It’s a medium but can probably be ridden by someone who is on the smaller side of large.
Gary Fisher Sugar - Great full-suspension ride.New Rox Shox Recon front fork courtesy of Tana Gutzka and Kris Fowler. Cane Creek Cloud 9 rear. Avid disc brakes. Shimano XT drive train. It’s a large but could be ridden by someone who is a medium.
Cannondale SL5 - This hardtail is our first XL, although it could be ridden by someone who is a large. Blazer RST fork. Cannondale disc brakes. Shimano SIS drive train.
Kona Kuku - Rox Shox Judy up front. Fox Vanilla in back. Shimano Deore bakes and drive train. Small.
